Waterside and Green Valley

Haven Consultants monthly medal today played at Waterside for the ladies and Green Valley for the men. Now with all bars locked down there was no presentation of prize’s but everyone enjoyed themselves at the golf courses and the trophies will be put in storage until we can give them out. As per usual the course at Waterside was in great condition and it was a perfect day for golf with a nice breeze drifting across the course proper. The scoring was very good for most of the girls with Miss Lynn shooting nett 72 to take 3rd spot, Miss Eng took 2nd with a net 71, and Miss May had a day in the sun to score a net 68 off her 10 handicap to take home the Haven Consultants trophy.

In the men’s competition at Green Valley the scoring was Ok also, the course is in fantastic condition and played well with good greens and lush fairways, making it easy to score. There was a count back for the minor placing’s between Barry Copestake and Keith Allen with the result being Barry taking 3rd spot and Keith 2nd both shooting 71 nett, once again we had one player who had his day in the sun shooting a net 65 Wayne Cotterell to take home the Haven Consultants Trophy his second one this year. A special thank you to Mr Brian Chapman the CEO of Haven Consultants for his generous and continued support of this tournament in these troubled times, thank you Brian from all the players at the Billabong. We would like to wish everyone a very Happy New Year and sincerely hope 2021 is a great deal better than 2020.
