The monthly scramble

On a day with dark clouds over head we went to Phoenix for our monthly scramble, the day started out great for the first 3 teams out of ten that were playing and down came the rain for about 30 minutes then it stopped and out came the sun to make it kind of hot for a while. The course was in great condition, but the management are letting the rough grow getting the course ready for the ladies Thailand Open coming up later this month so it was more than brutal it was unplayable for golfers of out caliber thank god it was a scramble. The usual faces played plus a few new teams were there for a fun day out and as usual that was the order of the day with everybody all smiles when golf was finished for the day. Coming in 3rd today with a score of 60.9 was Bill Marsden, Miss May. Tim Lovell and Bob StAubin, 2nd place went to the Billabong A team Sasicha, Nok, Todd and Sandy with a score of 60, now having 16 birdy putts but only getting 5 was the telling thing there, coming in top spot was team Hack, with Gary Ritchie, Peter Bass, Arch Armstrong and Paul Hack with a score of 59.7. Next month’s scramble will be held at Parachat Gold Club next door to the Pattaya Country Club on 331.
