Silky Oakes for a change

As there was a ladies professional tournament being held on Green Valley we were bumped across to Silky Oak for our game today, and whilst the course is in great condition the greens were a tad on the slow side and you needed to putt for about 2 feet behind to hole to get anywhere near to dropping the ball in the hole. With 5 groups playing including the Billabong ladies who were included in a one tournament strangely enough there was only one ladie in the prizes. The scoring was unbelievable also with 2 golfers thinking 38 might win the day, not so there was a count back with two players on 40 points Nipper Truscott and the Lovely Sasicha, with the lady pipping Nipper on the post with 22 points on the back nine to his 21 both on 40 points. Peter Thomas took the top spot with 41 points. There were 4 twos coming from Arch Armstrong, Nipper Truscott, Miss May and Peter Thomas. I suppose once you got used to the greens being a little slow the putting must have improved.
