Phoenix Gold shows it’s teeth it’s not very often the lad’s don’t get into the high 30s or even in the 40s but today there wasn’t one player did better than his handicap. The course was in great condition even after all the rain but the Captain deemed it right for lift clean and place just to be on the safe side and it was needed in some places. After a look around the Lake loop it is almost back to its best again so we will be playing it again soon I’m sure and it will be a pleasant change. As stated earlier the course showed its teeth today as out of four group’s of golfer’s there was only six players that scored over 30 point’s. Alan Bishop came 3rd today on a count back over Frank Ward both scoring 33 points, Gareth Wilson came 2nd with 36 points being beaten by the little French General Gerard Lambert with 36 points also but nobody could not be beaten on a count back with 24 points on the back nine. Gareth Wilson had the only two of the day.
