Still no moose at Phoenix Gold but the course is in great condition, it was just go to the tee block and hit off, the course was almost empty today. It was extremely hot out there with no wind until a little breeze sprang up toward the last few holes. With only two groups playing we were around in about 3 and ½ hours, there is still a little ongoing maintenance happening but it is all clearly marked as GUR so no mistakes could be made. There was only 2 golfers that didn’t score over 30 points one nearly beating the Cripple’s score of 7 points on the front nine but a par on the ninth sorted that out and he matched the 7. Taking 2nd place today was Tim Knight with 35 points his best score for a while, and the little French General Gerard Lambert came to play golf today to score a fine 38 points and take the top spot.
