Phoenix on a good day

After criticizing Phoenix for the brutal rough on the Mountain loop, it has been shaved thankfully and now you can find your ball even if it is hard to get at, a great improvement thank you to the greens staff. The course is in great condition at the moment even after the storm that hit yesterday although a bit wet in patch’s we played lift clean and place which was needed almost for every shot. There were no twos, but there was a hole in one from one of Dennis Perrsons friend from Hong Kong who were playing behind the Billabong. The scoring was surprisingly ordinary with only 6 players beating 30 points out of 24 golfers. There was a count back for 4th and 3rd with Capt Bob being relegated to 4th by Steve Dodd both with 34 points, taking 2nd was Alan Beck with 36 points his best game for quite a while, the top spot went to Paul Greenaway with 39 points, good to see you in the winner’s circle mate.
