Phoenix on a fast day

What a great day for golf, we practically ran around the course as a three ball, with Dave Bramley, Capt Bob and Glyn Davies out first and were around in under three hours, whilst not in a hurry and it wasn’t planned there was no one in front of us and we just flowed along. Playing Lakes and Ocean in perfect conditions with a nice breeze to keep the lid on the heat, and the drinks were cold so all good, maybe we were a little fast as Glyn could only manage 6 points on the front nine but beat the ocean loop to bits with 22 points on the back even with a blob on the last hole. We only had 4 groups today and only 2 twos were had by capt Bon and Paul Greenaway. It’s not very often you get a 4 way count back for the minor placings but there was one today with Paul Greenaway, Lloyd Shuttleworth, Thiery Temime and Steve Dodd all coming in with 37 points alas Paul and Steve missed out on the prize’s with Thiery taking 3rd and Lloyd taking 2nd, the winner was the Captain with a stunning 40 points.

Phoenix Gold today, the course was in great condition as usual and quite busy with a steady flow of golfers all around the course. With four groups playing it was quite a fast round with no holdups at
