Phoenix in perfect temperatures

Phoenix at a 8.32 am start so it was an early rise. With 6 groups playing we got away a little early for a leisurely round of golf. The course is in fantastic condition with fast greens and no place to get a bad lie, apart from the rough woe betide anyone missing the short grass it was take your punishment and chop the ball out and get ready for your next shot. now in saying all that, the scores were great with a count back between Bill Peach and Jason Barnett both on 38 points with Jason getting the nod for 4th place, there was also a count back for 2nd and 3rd between Graham Beaumont and Glyn Elsworth both with 39 points with Graham being relegated to 3rd and Glyn to 2nd, The little French General Gerard Lambert had a fine 41 points to take the 1st place. There were 6 twos coming from Glyn Davies, Jason Barnett, Ivor Smith, Les Easton, Brian Scott and Capt Bob. There was a birthday today so kind wishes were extended to Graham Beaumont he wouldn’t tell us what age so we will have to guess, It’s also goodbye to Jason Barnett as he is heading home tomorrow to a little frost and snow, see you next trip mate and safe travelling.
