Phoenix Gold

Five groups went to Phoenix Gold golf course today to play Mountain and Lakes and as usual the Mountain loop took no prisoners apart from one rising star playing off his 30 handicap which I might add has been slashed from 31 because of him being in the prize’s last week he scored 21 points on the way out but only 15 on the way in to take 4th place with 36 points. The greens were very slow on the Mountain and very much quicker on Lakes made quite a difference to everybody’s scores. 3rd place went to Glenn Smith with 36 but having 17 on the back nine, 2nd went to the ever present Glyn Davies with 36 but having 18 on the back, taking 1st place was Glen Elsworth with 37 points. There were five twos coming from Emmett White, Glyn Davies, Bill Marsden and Karen Craigie got a double.
