Phoenix Gold

Phoenix and in grand condition with 9 groups playing on a course that wasn’t as packed as it has been lately just a steady stream of golfers virtually all day. We welcomed some golfers from the Royal Fremantle golf club today including the president of the club, I’m sure they had a good day as they are playing with us again Wednesday and again on Friday. It was goodbye to Alex Meldrum and Tony Marsden as they off back home to maybe a little colder weather than here, safe travelling fella’s. Now back to the golf the scoring was not too bad really with a count back on 35 points for 5th and 6th with Paul Greenaway taking 6th with 17 points on the back nine to Gerard Lamberts 20 points, Brian Scott one of visitors from Perth took 4th with 36 points, the lady of the moment Julie Battersby Mrs consistent took 3rd with a fine 37 points, Another lady Nadine Goyons took 2nd with 39 points and it was down to Ivor Smith to hold the men’s pride up with a fine 40 points, it must be said that is the first time in a Billabong completion that he has played 18 holes without a blob on his card well done mate. There were only 2 twos coming from Julie Battersby and Brian Wilkinson. The Billabong trip to Khai Yai still has a couple of places for anyone that is interested give Bob a call on 0822043411.
