Phoenix just after the tournament for the Royal Trophy, and if you got off the fairway you were in trouble big time. With 6 groups playing everything went as smooth as butter and we just flowed along. The course as to be expected was in great condition with everything just in the right place and the greens were fantastic. We had some boys from the west playing with us today, it turned out to be a fun day for the them I played with 3 of them and the banter never stopped for the duration of the round. Strangely enough there were no twos recorded out of 24 players it usually coughs up one or two but not today. Apart from two golfers that played better than their handicap the rest of us were in the high 20s 0r very low 30s points wise. There was a three way count back all on 31 points with George Way taking that spot courtesy of his 19 points on the back nine. 4th place went to Paul Greenaway with 32 points 3rd was taken by Bill Marsden with 33 points,2nd went to Steve Giles with 39 points and the top spot went to the Lovely Miss Sasicha with 40 points. It just goes to show if you keep the ball on the short grass you can score here.
