Phoenix and Plantation

The Haven Consultants monthly medal was played today at two venues the ladies played Sugar Cane and Pineapple at Siam Plantation then came back to the Billabong new restaurant for eats and presentation. They are one happy lot of ladies the chatter and banter went on for quite some time and the mystery parcel handout was a great deal of fun also. Now the reports from the players was the course was in fantastic condition and judging by the scores I would have to agree. Taking 3rd place on a count back was Miss Bee with a net 70, 2nd place was taken by Miss Thip with net 70 also, and the winner of the beautiful trophy was Miss Pin with a net 64 one hell of a score and a well deserved win. As Brian Chapman was ill today there will be a presentation of the Haven Trophy and Shirt at a later date but congratulations to all who played.

The men’s group played at Phoenix Gold golf course and the course was also in immaculate condition apart from a few small wet spots around the front of the greens. Some would say golf is a good walk stuffed up and by the look of these scores I would have to concur, some of the scores were in the mid to high 80s so it must have been tough out there today. Taking 3rd place and it’s good to see him back playing on a regular basis was Auke Engelkes with a net 74, there was a count back for 2nd and 3rd between Glyn Davies and a visitor from Norway Bjani both scoring 73 nett with Glyn having a slightly better back nine to take the trophy from Bjani who came 2nd. There was one two coming from Stuart Day which was very nearly a hole in one. A very special thanks to Brian Chapman the CEO of Haven Consultants for his continued support and we hope you get well very soon.
