Phoenix

Phoenix today and can I say an extra large thank you to Sandy and Kiwi Bill for their patience and understanding as my grandson played with us today for his first time on a golf course so the air shots and laughter were abundant. Only a small field what started out as 12 players finished up as 10. We played Mountain and Ocean off the white pegs in great conditions. The course was in great condition with the rough really rough as the there was a professional tournament last week and they toughened it up for those guys. The scoring was very good also today with only 3 golfers not scoring above 30 points including the scribe playing with his borrowed moon boot, and with the blessing of the management of Phoenix being allowed to drive the cart to the edge of the tee blocks and a bit closer than usual to the green. As it was only a small field only 1st and 2nd places were in the prize’s Kiwi Bill who is on his way back to New Zealand for his 6 months purgatory took 2nd place with 37 points, playing with my grandson didn’t do him any harm after all, 1st place went to Goerge Way with a fine 39 points and he is a dab hand not only on the golf course but around the pool table.
