Phoenix

Phoenix today and how kind was the weather, A nice cloud cover to keep any heat away, The greens were a little on the rough side with a lot of sand on them but were marked as GUR so not too much to worry about. We played Mountain and Lake and Capt Bob wearing a moon boot kindly loaned to him by David Davies for his first game in 7 months and might add he didn’t come last, and only lost 2 balls. We had a contingent of friends from Perth with us today, on their way back from Vietnam and stopped for a game with the Billabong five were flying back home tonight on the red eye special, and their words were Vietnam is overtaking Thailand in the golf stakes with cheaper golf on most of the courses, might be a wakeup call for the golf courses in this area. it was great to see you lads. Oh and I must mention took all the prizes, including the only two of the day that went to George Way. Coming in 4th was Greg with 35 points there was a three way count back but with his 22 points on the back nine it was enough to get the job done. Mel McGowan took 3rd spot with 36 points, Brad O’Keefe took 2nd spot with 38 points just narrowly being beaten by George Way with 39 points. See you next trip lads in the meantime safe travelling.
