Phoenix

A lovely day for golf with a nice breeze blowing and just the right temperature, playing Phoenix Gold we played the Mountain and Lakes, they were in great condition as usual but some of the pins on the Lake loop were very difficult to get at to have any show of a birdie putt. The scoring is always slightly different when we play the mountain loop as it must be one of the hardest nine holes of golf in this area if you miss the short grass you have a difficult time getting your ball anywhere near the green. Now in saying that there was one particular player who beat the course today scoring 40 points Jerry Grocott being the said man, 37 points took second spot and that was taken by his lovely partner Julie Battersby, our little French general Gerard Lambert took 3rd spot with 36 points, and Peter Davies was the taker of 4th with 34 points. There was only one two coming from our visitor from Sanctuary Cove on Queenslands Gold Coast Pat Adamson
