Monthly Scramble

The monthly scramble with 11 groups playing at the Phoenix Gold Golf and Country Club, The course itself was in magnificent condition but the greens left a little bit to the imagination as they were different to say the least, maintenance must be done at some time so if they were a little slow that’s just the way it is, they will be back to their superb I’m sure. It was a lovely day for golf and there was no rain although there were some heavy clouds around. The scoring was very good as it is not too often any group will give this course a going over but today saw the team of Gary Ritchie, Auke Engekles, Arch Armstrong and Bob Newell scoring 58.2 nett coming in 3rd place, Brad Jordison, Peter Jueckens. Paul Beck and On Phristet with a score of 57.1 Taking 2nd place, The team of Paul Greenaway, Paul O’Mahoney, Steve Dodd and Andrew Skaiffe with 56 nett scoring 12 birdies off their 4 handicap a great score indeed.
