What a day for golf with 9 groups playing, the rain birds were out but there was no hint of rain only the heat and cloud. Playing A and B at Burapha the course was in great condition, and we don’t know what has been done to the greens but they were lightning fast any downhill putt hit with any authority went 6 to 8 feet past made for tricky golf and by the scoring it showed. We were joined by the French connection and by the Fremantle lads which boosted the numbers somewhat. Our 9.30 start turned into a little early and the golf just flowed along it was a 4 and ½ because all 4 nines were packed out with golfers from all over the world. There was a 3 way count back for 3rd 4th and 5th all on level par 36 points with Luke Eddy taking 5th Jean Louis taking 4th and Francis Goyons taking 3rd, there was also a count back for 1st and 2nd with Graham Beaumont taking 2nd and Colin Burwood taking top spot both on 37 points. There were 8 two’s coming from Don Urquhart, Colin Burwood, Stephen O’Neill, Lloyd Shuttleworth, Jean Louis, Francis Goyons, and Brian Scott got 2 and nearly 3.
