Hot and Wet Phoenix

What a day for golf it started out fine and sunny with just some high cloud and turned to something else after 5 holes it was fine on hole 5 and absolutely belting down on hole 6 but nowhere else on the course. So we sheltered for a while then went out to play until hole 11 when the siren went off for lightening after 15 minutes out again for only a light shower. Even after the rain the course was in great condition with not many watery areas, we played lift clean and place. The scoring was good considering the rain delays with Capt Bob taking 4th place with 33 points, Dave Bramley managed 3rd with 34 points, Bill Marsden left his only bad tee shot till the last hole squirting his shot out of bounds for a 3 off the tee and a double bogey for no points on that hole but still managed to score 37 points to take 2nd with Arch Armstrong beating him on a count back with 37 points also. There was only one two coming from John Chappell.
