Hot and muggy today

Eastern Star was the venue for the Haven Consultants Monthly medal, Capt Bob obviously didn’t have his thinking cap on when he thought about this month’s event. A harder course to play a medal round I don’t think you would find anywhere. The course was in good condition but even though carts were allowed on the fairway we played lift clean and place which was needed on a lot of the holes. The sanding of the greens just as we were teeing off didn’t help some of the players, but we all got around in bright sunshine. In the ladies division the scoring was very good with Miss Noodle taking 3rd spot with 75 Nett, 2nd place went to Miss Eng with 72, and Miss Pin won the day with a net 70. There were no two’s recorded.

In the men’s division there was a count back for 3rd and 4th both players on 73 nett with the Haven Consultants Brian Chapman taking 4th and Bill Marsden taking 3rd, There was also a count back for the top two place’s between Sel Wegner and Bob StAubin both with nett 71 with Bob taking 1st and Sel 2nd Bob having the better last 6 holes. Once again there were no two’s recorded.
