Green Valley

The rainy season decided to pay Pattaya a visit a little early this year flooding many areas causing chaos in town, but the rain did not travel as far as Rayong and Green Valley for the grass is in serious need of some refreshment for many areas are brown and bare of any grass. It might help if all the sprinkler heads were working as they were designed so to do. In the men’s competition Wayne Cotterell (13) had a good front nine with 20 points but a serious blip on the way home with only 4 points in 5 holes earned him only 15 points and 35 overall for 4th place. Something remarkable happened with Charlie (22) for he only had 11 points on the front nine. What happened on the 10th tee one can only guess for he had 6 pars thereafter and 25 points over the nine holes and 36 points for 3rd place. The Billabong Champion, Auke Engelkes (12) can blame too many 1 pointers for his 37 points missing out on top spot by 1 point behind Jeff North who started with a birdie for 4 points followed by 2 others going out for 21 points and 38 in total to occupy 1st place. Many ladies were not in attendance today possibly travelling for Songkran but Miss Nu (16) won today with 32 points with Miss Sasicha (21) in 2nd with 28 points. Only two 2s today going to Selwyn Wegner and Steve Wattons.
