Goodbye Josie and Ron.

We say goodbye to our friends from Buderim Queensland Josie and Ron are heading home after three months seeing their grandchildren and playing a little golf with us here at the Billabong, we will see you again next year hopefully and Josie I sure hope the putting is better by then. Phoenix was the venue for their last game with us, the course was in magnificent condition all round but the greens are still a little slower than they normally are but you learn to hit it harder. Apart from one or two golfers the scoring was excellent most being in the 30s except one young fella had to stop playing after 5 holes with a groin strain and unfortunately will be off the course for a few weeks rest up Brian and we will see you soon. Josie Ryan took third place with a fine 36 points which could have been a few better if the three putts had been twos, Steve Barker took second place with a score of 37 points being beaten by Frauder who won the day also with 37 points but one shot better on the back nine. There was only one two coming from Glyn Davies.
