Golden Phoenix

Phoenix Gold on a very hot day not a breath of wind at all just heat it wasn’t until about the 5th hole a little breeze came along and it was welcome. We had five groups playing and once again it was a quick round of golf. The course is in fantastic condition at the moment with greens that were true and fast and you couldn’t get a bad lie on the fairways at all. The scoring was very good with only four players not scoring more than 30 points. Coming in 4th place was Brian Jacks with a handicap equaling 36 points, there was a count back between Stuart Day and Richard Steadman for 2nd and 3rd both having 37 points with Richard taking 2nd and Stuart taking 3rd, Captain Cripple maintained his purple patch scoring 38 points to take the top spot. Steve Dodd and Frank Ward had the only two’s of the day.
