Emerald for a two man scramble and a fun day out. The day was fine and hot and the course was in great condition for the six teams that played, the resort being built behind the second green has certainly shortened the third hole and I’m sure there were more birdies on that hole than par’s today with some of the old boys driving the green. scoring was quite good with most of the scores in the 60s, Tony Oakes and Jeff North partnered up and even birdied the sixth hole which itself is a great result as it is one of the hardest holes on the course they went on to win the day with a net score of 65.8, next in line were Duncan McLean and Captain Cripple with a net 67, John Anderson and Craig Blacklock were next with a net 67.6.
