Capt Bob the Marshall

Burapha playing the A and B loops, the course wasn’t as busy as it has been for the last month or so, so we had a good day out with no hold up’s at all. The course was in great condition as usual with greens that were running quite fast and no way could you get a bad lie on the short grass. With 8 groups playing and that included some friends from France all nine of them some have played with the Billabong before some hadn’t but welcome back Francis. The scoring was exceptional with a count back on 36 between 3 players for 4th and 5th with Paul Greenaway taking 5th if only his putter had behaved he would have had a lot more, Gerard Lambert took 4th and Peter Rooke missed out, 3rd place went to Peter Davies a visitor from Melbourne also on a count back with 38 points being beaten by Mick Beresford with the same score but a better back nine, Top spot went to Francis Goyon’s with a fantastic 44 points shooting 78 gross off his 14 handicap well done mate. There were three two’s coming from Francis Goyon’s, George Zadro and Ivor Smith.

Phoenix Gold today, the course was in great condition as usual and quite busy with a steady flow of golfers all around the course. With four groups playing it was quite a fast round with no holdups at
