C and D at Burapha

Burapha C and D was the order of the day today, a nice little change from A and B but these two loops are a good deal harder to manage. Some of the tee blocks were forward and some were well back from their normal positions making some holes extremely difficult for some of the shorter hitters. The course was in grand condition so there really wasn’t any reason apart from distant that the scores were so low. Half the field didn’t make 30 points and only one player beat his handicap. Glenn Smith took third place with 32 points, Rick Culley having not had a game in 3 weeks his form came back for him to take second with 33 points, and Arch Armstrong took the top spot with a fine 37 points and he also got the only two of the day, Paul Greenaway should have got one but he put that much screw on the ball it spun back from the hole about 10 feet.
