Burapha on a hot day for golf and we all got in before the storm which is great, we got wet under the showers rather than the sky. With 5 groups playing we got away to an early start and completed the round in under 3 and ½ hours. The scoring was different as we were allocated the C and D loops which are quite a bit more difficult than the preferred A and B loops. The course was in grand condition with greens that were a little slower than normal which reflected in the scores posted. There was a count back between Jack Piercefield and John Mills a visitor from Perth Australia, with both scoring 32 points Jack managed 4th place and John with the better back nine took 3rd, 2nd went to the ever consistant Dougie Crowe with 34 points off his 8 handicap and the man of the moment Graham Beaumont scoring a fine 35 points to take the top spot. There was only one two coming from Greig Ritchie.
