Burapha A and B

Its an easy drive to Burapha from the Billabong just a 20 minute trip now with not so much traffic. A great day for golf with a lovely breeze and even though we followed a 5 ball our 6 groups were all in and finished in just under 4 hours. The course was in great condition with greens that were holding and good to putt on. The scoring was extremely good with count backs for 3rd and 4th both golfers on 38 points Thiery Temime managed to take 4th with John Locke taking 3rd, 2nd Place went to Sandy Chapo with a fine 39 points and the Little General Gerard Lambert took the top spot with 41 points a good score indeed. There were 5 twos coming from Gerard Lambert, John Locke, Arch Armstrong, Glyn Davies and a most unlikey one coming from Thiery Petrement a snaking putt on B8 of about 30 feet that would have been off the green if it hadn’t hit the hole he was offered 200 baht if he could do it again but refused amid a lot of laughter saying good golfers don’t repeat their feats.

Phoenix Gold today, the course was in great condition as usual and quite busy with a steady flow of golfers all around the course. With four groups playing it was quite a fast round with no holdups at
