Passing the hotel at Green Valley we noticed, with some relief, that there were no coaches to be seen, no longer a fleet of buggies waiting for their occupants and only a few cars in the car park, you could be forgiven for thinking that the tourists are spending Christmas away from Thailand, at home with their families. The course was unusually empty for this time of year which just added to an enjoyable day. The scores overall could only be classified as average for finishing in 3rd place for the ladies was Miss Sasicha (21) with 32 points four points behind Miss Nu (16) whose score could have been better but for 2 blobs on the way home. Miss Pin (20) had a good steady round for her 39 points which was kept below 40 points with two 1 pointers on the back nine but I don’t think she was too worried about that coming 1st on the day. Selwyn Wegner (15) could only muster 7 points on the last 5 holes and 33 points for 3rd place. Peter Thomas (18) couldn’t believe his start to the round with 10 points on the first 3 holes only to be brought down to earth with 9 points on the last 4 holes in each half. It is being difficult to unseat Wayne Cotterell (13) from the top of the leader board at the moment for he came 1st for the third week running with 36 points despite three 1 pointers and a blob on the back nine. Surprisingly, there were no 2s today.
