An Early Start

It was an early start so a smaller field today for our monthly scramble as 7.20 for the first tee time is a tad early, but 8 teams of intrepid golfers took to the fairways at Phoenix playing Ocean and Mountain loops. There was a different format today for a change we played minimum 3 tee shots maximum 5 but one of the shots must be on a par three the comments were varying on whether to do it next month the consensus was no. The scramble will be a 9.20 tee off next month so good for everyone. The course was in great condition as usual and the golf just flowed along at a steady speed. The scoring wasn’t up to the normal standards but it was a good day out. Taking 3rd spot was The Valley hackers team with a net 62.8, second place went to the lads from Perth with a net score of 61.7, and taking the top spot was Paul O’Mahoney, Paul Greenaway, Andrew Scaiffe and Steve Dodd with a score of net 60. The Billabong golf trip to Khai Yai on the 16th, 17th, 18th and coming home on the 19th total cost 11.000 golf accommodation including carts and caddies at the three courses. Lotus Valley, Khai Yai Country club and Rancho Charnvee.
