A wet Phoenix but enjoyable

Just a slight precipitation as we left the bar which turned into a full blown storm as we travelled to Phoenix Gold Country club, but as is the usual here in Thailand it didn’t last that long and we were away all on the course by 9.15 am. Carts were allowed on the course albeit in the rough only on the lakes side but on the fairways on Ocean, and even after the rain the course wasn’t that wet apart from a few spots here and there it way relatively dry. As is also normal there were a few drop outs so our numbers were reduced to 18 players. The scoring was fantastic considering with Jack Piercefield scoring 38 points to take 3rd, Paul Walia came 2nd with 39 points and Graham (Rotheram) Beaumont took 1st spot with a magnificent 43 points, The conditions must have been right up his alley. Oh and Graham got the only two of the day that was almost a hole in one and promptly bought everyone a drink.
