A wet day at Phoenix

Updated: Mar 26

Phoenix Gold golf course a valentine’s day special we got wet, it’s not meant to rain at this time of the year but yesterday it did there were a lot of wet souls coming off the course early. However the hardy boys from the Billabong continued on and finished the round. Once again the Captain made the wrong call we should have played winter rule’s as when the ball came to rest in invariably had mud on it, one day he will get it right. Apart from that little hiccup the course itself was in great condition, I’m sure it was the rain that kept the scoring so low. There was a count back for 3rd and 4th both having 34 points with Alan Bishop taking 4th place and Steve Durey taking 3rd, Brian Jacks took 2nd place with 35 points and Frank Ward took the top spot with 36 points. There were no two’s recorded.
