A very hot day at Phoenix.
It was a hard day out at Phoenix gold golf course today as it was extremely hot and absolutely no breeze at all, it wasn’t until we got to the back nine the wind came up and cooled everybody down. The course was in great condition and even the greens were a bit faster than they have been lately. With four groups playing we all got around in under 4 hours I think the hurry was to get out of the heat, one young man who shall remain nameless gave up after 6 holes it was too tough for him. The scoring was good under the circumstances with Gerard Lambert scoring 37 points to take 3rd place going one better was Keith Bowles who scored 38 points to take 2nd spot and Steve Durey had his day in the sun scoring a fine 41 points to take 1st place. There were two 2s coming from Stuart McKenzie and Gerard Lambert
