A very hot day at Phoenix

The monthly scramble was held at the Phoenix Gold golf course in very hot conditions, but pleasant also as the course was in great shape but the greens were a little slow so getting the ball into the hole was an effort at times. With 10 teams competing we were away a little early and with absolutely no holdups were round in about 4 hours with no rain at all. Coming in in 3rd place was the Billabong A team with a score of 60.1, only just beating there number 2 team by .7 of a shot. Coming in 2nd spot was the Alexanders rag time crew made up of Bob StAubin, Luke Eddy, Auke Engekles and Gerard Lambert with 58.7, now this is the first time in 5 years of the scramble ever to have a count back for any place at all. Coming in the top spot was the team of Brad Jordison, Sugar Ray Handford, Paul and Brendon Cope with a score of 58.7 also. We will be back at Phoenix next month for the main event again it really is a fun day out and very casual.
