A very beautiful Phoenix Gold

Playing Phoenix Gold golf course today, it was an earlier start than usual as we had to be off the course before 12 noon because there was a shotgun start for the ladies EGA/TAT tournament with 160 ladies playing. To say the course was in magnificent condition doesn’t do it justice, the comments from the players after the round was over were never seen this course in such fine condition, so compliments to the management and staff for their efforts they were appreciated by the Billabong and I’m sure the lady golfers would have been suitably impressed also. I think our golfers got the better end of the deal as we were finishing it started to get very warm. It must be mentioned that one fellow golfer hit the best drive he has hit on the last hole it really was a great drive, his words that is the longest drive I have hit in years, sadly his next shot wasn’t as good nor was the next one after that then the next three weren’t as flash either so he had six shots and still hadn’t made the green, we think it was the excitement that got him enough said I can’t mention a name but the results do show as you read this report. Tim Knight was the recipient of 2nd prize with 33 points on a count back over Thiery Petrement also 33 Sandy Chapo took the top spot with 35 points, a pity you didn’t get even a bogie on the 18th Tim you would have beaten Sandy on a count back, that blob didn’t do you any favours at all.
