A Tough day at the office

Phoenix and a hard day at the office it was for most of the golfers with only 3 golfers out of 16 managed to score 30 points or more, and it wasn’t down to the conditions or the course. The course was in great condition although packed for the holiday with all 3 nine’s full to the brim, a 4 and a bit hour round ensued at a leisurely pace of play. The scoring was ordinary as previously stated but there was some laughs on some holes with one of the scribes group saying the next time he plays the lake loop he is going to give the 6th hole a miss and drive straight to the drinks stop on the 7th tee, his reckoning is it will save him 2 golf balls. Coming in 3rd today was Colonel Bob with a net 30 points, 2nd went to Paul Greenaway with 31 points and 1st place was taken by Glyn Davies with a fine 37 points. There were only 2 twos coming from Paul Greenaway and Glyn Davies. From the management and staff at the Billabong we would like to thank everyone for their support through 2018 and to wish you all the very best for 2019.

Phoenix Gold today, the course was in great condition as usual and quite busy with a steady flow of golfers all around the course. With four groups playing it was quite a fast round with no holdups at
