A Rainy Phoenix Gold

Phoenix Gold on an extremely hot morning the clouds were thick and we knew that we were going to get some rain well down it came after 6 and a half holes we got it, there only two groups playing today and the first group was on the eight the second coming up to the seventh green when the storm hit so for 45 minutes we sheltered then continued the game but played lift clean and place for the remainder of the day, carts from then on were path only so some of the golfers were very weary when the day was over but they soldiered on. We said goodbye to our good mate J.J.Harney today as tomorrow he on the way home, see you next time mate thanks for the laughs. There was some shall we say not very good scores today with the lowest around 17 and 18 points the rain and the walk was put down as the reason for this so therefore no names shall be mentioned. There were two golfers in our midst though with J.J.Harney taking second place with 33 points, the top spot went to Bob Innes with 34 points so it just goes to show the fitness of these two fellas.
