A perfect day for golf.

Scramble time of the month and again it was held at the Phoenix Gold Golf and Country club. With 15 groups playing the day just flowed along in beautiful conditions for golf. The course is in magnificent shape and the scoring told the tale just how good it was. I have never seen scores like these ever at Phoenix, the best ever here has been about 58 point something, well today records were set by three groups With team Steadman taking 3rd spot with 55.7, whilst accepting the cards Capt Bob stated that that would take some beating to his amazement the next cards score was 54.8 Team Greenaway, Mahoney, Dodd and Skaiffe. Now to be truly gob smacked the last card of the day to come in was absolutely clinical it was a superb display of team golf from Bob Newell, Gareth Gill, Simon Philbrook and their mate from Australia Mr Red, with a score of 53.8, now thinking about the Steadman team having 8 birdies of the front nine to fall away slightly on the back but the top boys on the day also had 4 birdies on the front but with back to back eagles as previously stated very clinical golf indeed and just to show how good the boys were the longest putt was only about 5 feet. Well done to all the players and thank you all for your support for this monthly tournament.
