A Packed Phoenix

Phoenix jam packed on all 3 nines, we were thinking maybe a slow round today but that wasn’t the case, that is down to the management and the marshells doing a splendid job and doing it to perfection. We played Mountain and Lakes off the white tee’s and it turned out to be a 4 hour round in great conditions, not too hot and a nice breeze blowing. For the first time in a long time there were no two’s although to be fair on the player’s the Mountain loop in general there are no gimmy two’s both are tough shots. The scoring wasn’t too bad with only one count back between Glyn Davies and Capt Bob with the Captain prevailing to take 4th place with 33 points, 3rd went to Dave Bramley with 34 points, 2nd went to Lloyd Shuttleworth with 37 points and the little general took line honours with a fine 38 points. There will be a Xmas brunch at the Billabong starting about 2pm on the 25th anybody interested just give Bob a call on 0822043411 to book you spot.

Phoenix Gold today, the course was in great condition as usual and quite busy with a steady flow of golfers all around the course. With four groups playing it was quite a fast round with no holdups at
